Formula:
CPM = gross ad revenue / monetized impressions × 1000CPM is not RPM. CPM measures what advertisers pay per 1,000 monetized impressions (before YouTube's share). RPM measures what the creator earns per 1,000 total views (after YouTube's share). A higher CPM does not automatically mean higher take-home revenue.

- Why is my CPM higher than my RPM?
